The level of service across every aspect of this establishment was truly exceptional. From the attentive service to the thoughtful details - everything reflected genuine care and commitment to excellence. What also stood out was the personal attention from the owners themselves. Their genuine warmth and hospitality made my family and me feel not simply like guests, but truly welcomed, valued and cared for. I commend the entire team at Pure Sea for their exceptional service, the unique and beautifully appointed hotel and for creating such a warm and memorable experience for my family and me.

A small piece of paradise that is hard to put into words, but simply must be experienced and enjoyed… In perfect harmony with nature, an extremely stylish interior, which left nothing to be desired, from the hidden retractable television to the self-closing door, yoga mat… and… and nothing at all! And if you did have a wish – Cap classique in the hot tub – Nico was already there, anticipating it. Of course, the start to the day with a perfect breakfast was also unforgettable - simply WOW!!!

I’m pleased to add another glowing 5 star review of this magical place. My husband and I asked our travel agent to add a “Marine 5 safari” to a Botswana/South Africa trip and she suggested Pure Sea for nearby lodging. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The place makes you feel like you are part of the sea and the fynbos. The design and materials are exquisite (much of it built by Bjorn). Photos on the website don’t do it justice.

Even though it was the off season, the service was hands-on and personable. Bjorn and Pichy are fantastic conversationalists, and a delight to get to know. Nico looked after us as well, between the 3 of them and other members of their team, every need was anticipated. Example: Nico saw my husband collecting shells, so he brought him a container to rinse them and then a jar to take them home safely. Our room was cleaned each day while we having breakfast, which is so nice as it means you won’t be disturbed the rest of the day. The rooms are spectacular, designed for privacy and constant views of the sea (even from the bathtub), plus perfect bedding and towels. They have their own line of body and bath products, made with wellness in mind in collaboration with a local supplier. We liked the, so much we bought some to bring home.

After eating out the first night (the Blue Goose, recommended by Bjorn) we decided we did not want to leave Pure Sea again and asked them if they would have us for dinner. One night we had a lovely spread, fantastic charcuterie, cheese, spreads, fruit with a bottle of wine. The next night their homemade pizza and salad (including dune spinach harvested 100m from the kitchen) with another lovely bottle of wine (they have a very good list). They have oysters as well. Breakfast and especially coffee was of the best quality. Pichy modestly described what they offered as limited but I disagree!

From my quick dip in the sea to the visiting zebras, to ideas for the most scenic drive to Cape Town, the service and this place are indescribable. Many thanks to Bjorn, Pichy, Nico and their team for an unforgettable stay!

There are luxury stays, and then there is Pure Sea Boutique Lodge.

We stayed for two nights in late April 2026, and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found somewhere truly special. Set amongst the beautiful fynbos with breathtaking views over Walker Bay, this boutique lodge perfectly combines barefoot luxury with complete tranquillity.

Our suite was enormous and absolutely stunning. Every single detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the beautiful décor and luxurious finishes to the little touches that made us feel completely spoiled. It was one of the most beautifully designed rooms we stayed in during our entire South African trip.

The hosts, Björn and Pichy, are simply exceptional. They made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived, and their passion for creating an unforgettable experience shines through in everything they do. Nothing was too much trouble.

The private chef's dinner is an absolute must. It was one of the best meals we had in South Africa—beautifully presented, incredibly fresh and full of flavour. I would return just for that experience alone.

We also booked the beach picnic, the wood-fired hot tub with tapas, and a massage. Every experience was perfectly organised and felt intimate, relaxing and incredibly special. It wasn't just accommodation—it was an experience that allowed us to slow down, reconnect and appreciate the spectacular surroundings.

Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious, with a wonderful selection of both hot and cold options. The fresh smoothies were especially delicious and the perfect way to start the day.

If you're looking for somewhere romantic, peaceful and luxurious, I honestly cannot recommend Pure Sea Boutique Lodge highly enough. Every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations, and it is without question one of the finest boutique properties we have ever had the pleasure of staying in.

Thank you, Björn, Pichy and your wonderful team. We left with memories that will last a lifetime, and we already can't wait to return.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Pure Sea Boutique. From the moment we arrived everything was flawless.

The service was exceptional, especially from Nico, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Nothing was ever too much trouble – whether it was food, drinks or helping with anything around the property. The level of personal attention really makes this place stand out.

The property itself is stunning. The pool, the rooms, decor and optional experiences are top class, and the views over the beach are simply unreal. Waking up to that view each morning was something special.

With only four rooms, the whole place feels incredibly exclusive, private and peaceful, which made the stay even more relaxing.

Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. A flawless stay and we would absolutely come back.
